Dr Mohsen Ali is an Associate Partner at ADDO AI. He is a co-founder of Intelligent Machines Lab and head Computer Vision Research Group at Information Technology University, Lahore. My current interest lies in solving theoretical and practical problems entailing Computer Vision and Machine Learning. His group works extensively in Deep Learning (we were the first lab to offer Deep Learning course in Pakistan) especially extending theoretical foundation of existing methods. Currently, one of the problems that interest us is decreasing Affective Gap between the multi-media content and modelling of emotional response; in short, they are working on giving emotional intelligence to the machines. An important aspect of their research is to solve locally relevant problems and they have been working with PITB to process the satellite imagery. We use the Deep Neural Network to analyze and detect urban areas in the satellite imagery and correlate them with the vaccination activities conducted in Punjab. Allowing administration to do analyze which regions are being covered and performing the audit.
Dr. Mohsen Ali is an Assistant Professor at Information Technology University, Lahore, Pakistan. Previously he completed his doctoral studies from CISE, University of Florida under the supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Ho. His doctoral studies were funded by Fulbright Scholarships.
